Which tour should I choose?
Our signature tour is the Shopping & Tasting Tour. We offer it 5 days a week and it has been crafted to introduce you to the best bites in the neighborhood. You’ll meet the shopkeepers and hear stories along the way. At the end of the tour, you’ll be able to navigate the neighborhood like a local. On-the-go tastings are equivalent to a medium-sized lunch.
If you’re interested in the shops and Arthur Avenue restaurants, choose the Pizza, Pasta & Parm Tour. Offered on Friday and Saturday afternoons, this is a tour for Italian food lovers with big appetites. This is an ideal way to eat before a Yankee game or a summer Friday afternoon before an evening visit to the New York Botanical Garden or Bronx Zoo.
Most shops are closed on Sunday so Italian Sunday was designed to let you dine with the locals. It’s a 3-course family style meal at 3 different locations including a quick visit to see the pasta shop where our main course was made. This tour is ideal for groups.
Where does the tour begin?
All of our tours start outside in front of the Arthur Avenue Retail Market at 2344 Arthur Avenue. If you're navigating by GPS, make sure to use the address 2344 Arthur Avenue as Google often loads the address of the loading dock on Hughes Avenue.
How do I get to Arthur Avenue?
Take Metro North's Harlem Line to the Fordham Station. (18 minutes from Grand Central Station. We strongly recommend this route vs. the subway.
Parking is available on the street or in the municipal parking lot directly across the street from the Arthur Avenue Retail Market (2344 Arthur Avenue.) Enter the municipal parking lot at 2356 Hoffman Street.
I got here early and I really need to use the bathroom. Where is it?
The bathroom is in the far, right corner of the Arthur Avenue Retail Market, just behind Mike's Deli. It's upstairs.

How much walking will we do?
Our 2.5 hour tour covers about 8 city blocks of walking. Always wear comfortable shoes and check the weather ahead of time.
Will the tour be cancelled due to bad weather?
Our tours run rain or shine. However, if tours are cancelled under extreme circumstances like a blizzard or hurricane, we will contact you to move your tour to another day. For that reason, please make sure your booking includes a phone number or email address where we can contact you while you're traveling.
Can I shop during the tour or should I wait until the food tour is complete?
We encourage you to shop during the tour. Moreover, some things like the white chocolate bread at Madonia or the buratta at Joe's Deli might be sold out by the time you make it back. However, if you want to make a custom order at a butcher shop, that would be best done after the tour. Bring a large shopping bag or backpack as you won't be able to resist taking a few goodies home, even if you are traveling from far outside the New York area.
How many people will be on the tour?
The maximum size for our Shopping & Tasting Tour is 12 guests. Private groups may be larger.
Are your tours accessible for people with physical disabilities?
Do you cater to people with dietary restrictions?
When you book your trip, please make a note of any allergies we should know about. Please note, though, that in some destinations there may be limited or no options for dietary needs. This tour includes samples of bread, pastry, cheese and meat. We have had many happy vegetarian and pork-free guests on our trips, but vegan and gluten-free guests may not be able to enjoy the full scope of samples. We do not offer substitutions.
The price of the daily group tour and the private tour per person is the same. So what's the difference?
Private tours require a minimum of 4 people to book, otherwise the price is the same.
Do you offer this tour in any other languages?

What if I need to cancel?
Tours may be refunded up to 48 hours prior to the tour. Private tour cancellations forfeit the deposit. For our daily tour, you can cancel up to 48 hours prior to the tour's start time. If something happens at the last minute, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll do our best to re-schedule your tour.
How do I provide feedback after the tour?
After your Arthur Avenue Food Tour you'll get an email asking for your feedback. We're always re-evaluating our tours to offer the best experience, and your feedback helps us immensely. You can also contact us by email at email@example.com.

All content, services, and prices provided to you through the Site are provided on an “as is” basis. The Company does not warrant anything of any kind, express or implied. We are not responsible for any failures caused by server errors, failed internet connections, any computer or other technical defect, whether human or technical in nature.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and in addition to all other limitations and disclaimers in this Agreement, we disclaim any liability or loss in connection with the products sold and services provided. Users are to use our services at their own risk and discretion.
USE OF OUR SERVICES
As a condition of your use of our services, you warrant that:
You are at least eighteen years old and possess the legal authority to enter into a binding contract.
You will only use the Site to make legitimate reservations for you or for another person for whom you are legally authorized to act and will inform such person about the terms and conditions that apply to the reservations you have made on their behalf.
Tour reservations may be made online at https://arthuravenuefoodtours.com/. Payment may only be made with a valid credit card or PayPal account. Your reservation constitutes a purchase for the tour requested. Your credit card or PayPal account will be charged when you make the reservation. The charge on your account statement will show payment to FEAST ON HISTORY/ARTHUR AVENUE FOOD TOURS.
The Company is not responsible for weather conditions and tours proceed whatever those conditions are on the date and time of a tour. No ticket may be cancelled or amended by you at any time on the basis of weather conditions. If there is a hurricane, blizzard or state of emergency declared by New York City, we will contact you directly.
To serve you most efficiently, credit card transactions and order fulfillment may be handled by a third-party processing agent or bank. The Company is not responsible for the success of or security of transactions undertaken or processed by third parties. If you are concerned about online security and payment by credit card, you may call us and place your order by phone.
CANCELLING YOUR RESERVATION
Cancellations must be communicated by email to the email address listed in your confirmation or by phone to the number provided at the Site.
Arthur Avenue Shopping & Tasting Tours
If you choose to cancel your reservations for the Arthur Avenue Shopping & Tasting Tour more than one 48 hours prior to the scheduled tour date and time, the Company will refund your purchase in full. If you need to cancel at the last minute, we permit one (1) opportunity to re-schedule your tour or transfer it to a friend.
Private Group Tours
If you choose to cancel your reservations for a Private Group Tour more than one (1) week prior to the scheduled tour date and time, the Company will refund 80% of your purchase price.
Within seven (7) days of the date and time of any booked Arthur Avenue Shopping & Tasting Tour or Private Group Tour, NO cancellations will be accepted, and NO refund will be paid.
ACCESSING THE SITE
The Company provides you a limited, temporary and non-exclusive license to use the resources of the Site and reserves the right to withdraw or amend the services offered without notice, for any reason. We are not liable if the Site is unavailable. We aim to update the Site regularly, and may change content at any time. If the need arises, we may suspend access to the Site, or close it indefinitely. Any of the material may be out of date at any given time, and we are under no obligation to update any material on the Site.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
The Company owns all intellectual property rights in the Site, and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved. You may print a copy of any page(s) from the Site for your personal reference. You may not modify paper or digital copies of any materials at the Site, and you may not use any part of the materials found on the Site including, but not limited to text, illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences for any commercial use.
If you print, copy or download any part of the Site in breach of our intellectual property rights, your right to use the Site will cease immediately and you must return or destroy any copies of the materials you have in your possession.
The Company is not liable for any loss or damage caused by a distributed denial-of-service attack, viruses or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of our site or to your downloading of any material posted on it, or on any website linked to it.
PARTICIPANTS OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You represent that you are in reasonably good health and that you are not susceptible to injury or disability while performing the activities of the tour. Your participation in your tour is at your own risk. Before your tour commences. you must inform us in writing of any medical condition that requires attention or medication.
You comprehend and accept all risks associated with your participation in the tours including, without limitation, exposure to unfavorable weather conditions, food sickness, injuries and death.
During your tour, your guide may take photographs and video of you (as part of a group) and these, your likeness and your name may be used in our advertising and marketing material without obtaining any further consent or payment to you in connection with such photographs and/or other images.
When you book with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss you cause and agree to pay for any resulting damages immediately.
The material displayed on the Site is provided without any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to its accuracy. To the extent permitted by law, the Company and third parties connected to it hereby expressly exclude:
All conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity.
Any liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage incurred by any user in connection with the Site or in connection with the use, inability to use, or results of the use of the Site and our services, any websites linked to it and any materials posted on it, including, without limitation any liability for: loss of income or revenue, loss of business, loss of profits or contracts, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, or for any other loss or damage of any kind, however arising and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable, provided that this condition shall not prevent claims for loss of or damage to your tangible property or any other claims for direct financial loss that are not excluded by any of the categories set out above.

You shall indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates, suppliers and any of its managers, employees, advisors, investors, and agents from and against any claims, causes of action, losses, damages, fines, penalties or other costs or expenses of any nature including but not limited to reasonable legal and accounting fees, brought by third parties as a result of i) you violating our terms and conditions; ii) you violating the law, or iii) your use of our services.
